ALTERATIONS
I offer an alterations service to help brides achieve a perfect fit from their wedding dress. Almost all dresses need some adjustment whether that be taking up the hem, nipping in at the waist or adding a hidden bustle to lift a long train. I am happy to carry out any work from minor adjustments to the fit of the dress through to a total re-design of an existing item.
I welcome the opportunity to work on vintage, second hand or sample dresses for brides who may be working with smaller budgets or wishing to make a more sustainable choice. Dresses can be re-sized up or down, layers can be removed and lace or beading added -the possibilities are endless.
Fittings will take place at my workroom in Tunbridge Wells, Kent and it is recommended that the process begins 2-3 months prior to your wedding day. Last minute requests will be considered subject to availability.
Alterations costs usually range from £150-£350 and prices will vary depending on the style of the dress, fabrics and embellishments used.
